VVEP seeks to hire a practice manager, who will be responsible for supporting VVEP, a small medical group practice. Responsibilities include high level administrative support, coordination of care and clinical operations within the practice, overseeing corporate accounts receivable and revenue cycle, accounts payable, human resources, credentialing, and other necessary needs.
Qualifications:
● At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
● Excellent time management and organizational skills
● Proven leadership abilities
● Excellent interpersonal skills – both oral and written
● Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
Education requirements:
● Minimum: BS, Preferred MS/MA/MBA
● MGMA CMPE or FACMPE desired
● Strong understanding of Quickbooks and general accounting practice
● Strong MS office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Responsibilities:
● Responsible for day to day operations and maintaining smooth running of practice. Report directly to the CEO and help with all matters related to daily business practice operations.
● Communicates regularly and effectively with the BOD, attorneys, accountants, billing vendors, insurance representatives, and hospital administrators.
● Drives the practice’s vision, mission, and values within our community and healthcare ecosystem.
Practice Management:
● Ensures all aspects of daily business operations run smoothly and effectively
● Takes leadership and accountability of this role and drives change when necessary.
Human Resources:
● Will help in physician recruitment, organize potential interviews, and arrange site visits when necessary.
● Responsible for new-hire onboarding, credentialing liaison, insurance enrollment, and benefit enrollment
● Works closely with the hospital’s Medical Staff Office (MSO) to ensure a smooth credentialing and recredentialing process for all physicians and independent contractors
● Oversee and maintain malpractice insurance for all members of the group
● Oversee and maintain CAQH portal data for each physician
● Assist with scheduling conflicts and staffing needs
Finance:
● Provide oversight and accountability to third party vendors
● Review accounts payable invoices for accuracy and process for payment
● Oversee revenue cycle management (RCM) vendor and accounts receivable
● Oversee and manage payroll process for all employees
● Prepare financial reports (P&L, cash flow statements, accounts receivable, etc)
● Work closely with legal counsel to maintain compliance and ensure accurate financial statements, tax filings and payments.
Other:
● Remain updated in local, regional, and national healthcare trends/laws that apply to emergency medicine and healthcare billing and compliance.
● Maintain confidentiality and HIPPA compliance at all times.
● Prepare meeting agenda and minutes
Compensation and Benefits:
● Salary $75,000-$95,000/year depending on experience
