Dealing with Burnout and Tips to Help Prevent It

 ABOUT THE WEBINAR:
When you search the topic stress and burn out in the medical practice, typically, information and articles about how more and more physicians are facing increased amounts of stress and burn out will appear, but what about the administrative leaders and their staff in these medical practice settings? What happens to the medical practice when their leader is not as effective as he or she once was because they are ready to throw their hands in the air and give up?

Your staff depends on you to be on top of your game all the time. When you aren’t, the practice suffers. This presentation will give you some tips and techniques to use when the stress keeps mounting and burn out may be on the horizon.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Beth Hillestad is the Leadership Coach at St. Luke’s hospital in Chesterfield, MO. Her primary role is to provide leadership development of current and new managers and has also added upward mobility to her repertoire. She was awarded a $50,000 grant from the Missouri Hospital Association and developed an in-house upward mobility program to serve as a spring board for staff who are interested in becoming leaders, which in turn has helped St. Luke’s build their bench strength. She is also responsible for coordinating and overseeing several aspects of the training and development arena as well as providing organizational development throughout the hospital and medical practices. She also serves as a liaison to foster positive relationships among the leadership team.
