ABOUT THE WEBINAR:
This webinar will take a deep dive into The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other applicable federal and case law, and what health care providers can do to provide equal access to goods and services for individuals with disabilities. The webinar will also discuss an individual’s own rights and responsibilities under the ADA. Topics discussed include providing reasonable modifications, providing effective communication, and service animals. The webinar will conclude with case scenarios that will provide useful insights and real-world practice. Participants will learn that when equal access is provided, everybody benefits.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Stacie Price, a staff attorney at Disability Rights Tennessee, received her B.A. in Criminal Justice from Marshall University in 2005, and a J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law, graduating summa cum laude and Order of the Coif. Stacie has worked on behalf of clients with disabilities specifically in the areas of equal access and effective communication at Disability Rights Tennessee, Nashville, since 2012. Prior to that, she worked as a private attorney. She has presented to various organizations and businesses on the topic of equal access and effective communication under the ADA. She is the recipient of Disability Right Tennessee’s Freedom Award and has been published in the West Virginia Law Review.
