 Position:          Medical Executive Assistant

Location:        Denver Administration

Hours:             Full-time, 36 hours per week (four, 9-hour days)

Position Purpose:  This non-exempt, full-time position is responsible for medical administrative support by working as a team member with all personnel; works under the direction of the Director of Clinic Operations.  

Responsibilities:

  • Employs critical thinking skills by identifying problems and then analyzing, processing and determining best practice for quality outcome
  • Applies medical standards to policies and procedures
  • Exhibits knowledge of disease process and outcomes
  • Maintains highest level of confidentiality at all levels of the practice, as well as outside the practice
  • Plans and organizes work flow to meet deadlines
  • Become resident-expert on required reporting and ability to teach, communicate and mentor others in regards to said reporting
  • Medical document development and maintenance to be compliant with medical malpractice standards
  • Maintains high level computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to produce spreadsheets and ability to analyze and report data at high level
  • Demonstrates flexibility, professionalism and a high-level of motivation
  • Communicates well in written and oral manner at all levels (providers, management & staff)
  • Is actively engaged in training and mentoring new staff
  • Takes initiative and is a self-starter
  • Performs additional duties as deemed necessary
  • OSHA and HIPAA Compliant

Prerequisites:

  1. Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant, EMT or LPN/LVN School or
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and/or Biology
  3. Current CPR Certification
  4. Clinical experience preferred in Allergy, Asthma, Immunology
  5. Proficient in medical terminology
  6. Excellent typing skills (minimum of 65 wpm), grammar, spelling, punctuation (high level of accuracy)
  • 7.      Display high level computer skills in Excel and other Microsoft Programs
