Fast-paced dermatology office has an opening for an experienced, full-time, salaried office manager.  Must have at least two years of medical office management experience.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Candidate must be willing to cross-train to work all front-office positions.   Partners closely with the physician partners to run a successful medical practice.  Salary commensurate with experience.

The office manager is responsible for the oversight of daily operations of the office, including coordination of daily staff activities and work flow, delegation of work duties, oversight of training and scheduling, assistance with staff issues, and evaluation of staff in partnership with physician partners.

  • Oversees human resource functions including recruiting, hiring, staff performance, benefit coordination, and resolution of administrative problems
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills as well as top-notch computer skills
  • Is a flexible problem-solver with a sense of humor
  • Is able to multi-task while maintaining open communication with staff and providers
  • Encourages high morale and a professional environment
  • Responds to inquiries from patients, insurance carriers, outside agencies, staff, providers and vendors with a strong customer-service perspective
  • Enters weekly payables into QuickBooks software
  • Works seamlessly with billing company and accountant to resolve any patient or vendor inquiries
  • Works with property management / IT vendor staff to solve any property maintenance or computer issues
  • Oversees implementation of compliance regulations and suggests appropriate changes
  • Ensures that quality standards and improvement plans of the practice are implemented
  • Participates with physician partners in negotiation of contracts
  • Stays abreast of trends in healthcare and seeks professional development opportunities
  • Complies with federal and state laws and advises physician partners of any issues
