Position Summary

The Data Analyst, Payer Strategy and Contracting plays a critical role for CCRM Fertility by providing analytical support for strategic, operational, and managed care decisions. The analyst is responsible for the analytical review, modeling, and reporting on both new and existing managed care contracts including value-based agreements and population management. The analyst is also responsible for other revenue-related analyses and reporting in the areas of trend analysis, payer mix, and contractual adjustments. This position reports to the Director of Financial Analysis, Payer Strategy and Contracting.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None

Essential Functions

• Develop and present contract analytics in preparation for contracting negotiations with commercial and alternative payers

• Monitor network-wide managed care contract performance including volume analyses, over and under payments, denials, etc.

• Calculate and report on payer mix and contractual adjustments

• Provide ad-hoc analysis related to the diagnosis and treatment of infertility for Senior Management in the areas of Operations, Corporate Finance, and Revenue Cycle

• Expand the availability and integrity of payer and operations-related data

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint

• Proficient in the creation and use of dashboards / data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

• Experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases including managing and reporting on data from multiple systems

• Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail

• Self-starter with exceptional time-management skills and an ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization

• Ability to work appropriately with data of a highly confidential nature including Protected Health Information (PHI)

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• Two years of experience in data analytics including data visualization applications

• Two years of experience in healthcare reimbursement analysis (preferred)

• Experience using Athena, Centricity, or other EMR / billing systems (preferred)

Working Conditions

• Professional office environment with daily use of standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, and scanners

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

• Prolonged periods of preparing and analyzing data
